The Suyana Foundation is a Swiss non-profit organization committed to the sustainable empowerment of individuals and rural communities through three core pillars: Health, Livelihoods, and Education. We run holistic development programs in Bolivia and Peru, and collaborate with trusted local partners in Uganda, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Switzerland, and beyond, promoting local ownership and lasting impact. We are seeking a motivated and analytical Impact Analyst / MEL Specialist (100%).
The role supports Suyana's efforts to collect, analyse, and use data effectively to measure progress, improve project quality, and foster learning across all regions which requires both conceptual strength and practical implementation skills to guide teams and partners in establishing robust MEL processes. Based in Zug, Switzerland, the position reports to the Impact Manager and includes regular travel to project areas in South America and East Africa.
Main responsibilities
 * Support the implementation and further development of Suyana's global impact measurement and management (IMM) and MEL frameworks in close coordination with global project teams.
 * Support the integration and use of the Suyana's Global Data Platform (Microsoft Fabric / Power BI) and ensure data quality, consistent and coherent data flows, and harmonized reporting across countries and programs.
 * Implement, monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) at global and project levels and contribute to semi-annual and annual impact reports demonstrating Suyana's global impact and lessons learned.
 * Manage and refine Suyana's diagnostic, baseline, monitoring tools, ensuring methodological coherence with global impact model and data quality across countries.
 * Analyse MEL findings and translate results into clear, actionable recommendations to strengthen project performance and organizational learning.
 * Conduct and supervise impact evaluations, cost-benefit analyses, and outcome assessments in collaboration with project teams and external partners.
 * Frequent travel to project areas to assess implementation progress, verify results, and support the improvement of local MEL systems and processes.
 * Provide technical guidance to project teams and partners on data collection, management, and visualization tools.
 * Facilitate knowledge-sharing and training sessions to promote a culture of evidence-based learning and accountability across Suyana's global teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications
 * 3–5 years of professional experience in impact measurement, evaluation, or performance management ideally in the context of international development, non-profit management, or social impact.
 * University degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience in International Development, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or a related field – strong practical experience in monitoring and evaluation will be considered equally valuable.
 * Proven expertise and understanding in MEL concepts and tools, including diagnostics, baselines, theories of change, logical frameworks, data collection tools and evaluation methodologies.
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear strategic insights.
 * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and experience with data analysis and visualization tools, preferably Power BI or similar platforms.
 * Excellent writing and presentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
 * Fluency in English (required); good command of Spanish is a strong advantage
 * Swiss or EU passport, or a valid Swiss work permit.
