THE ROLE
We are seeking a Legal Counsel for a leading manufacturing company. The role focuses on comprehensive legal guidance across a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters relevant to an international manufacturing group. This is a hands-on position, well suited to a flexible, business-oriented generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization and report to the Head of Corporate Legal. Fluency in German and English is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including procurement, distribution, IT, and sponsorship agreements
2. Advising on trademark, competition, and data protection law matters
3. Supporting internal stakeholders on compliance topics, including anti-corruption and whistleblowing
4. Collaborating with external counsel, particularly in the areas of employment law and M&A
5. Acting as a legal business partner to operational teams, including production and supply chain units
6. Supporting strategic legal initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Corporate Legal
YOUR PROFILE
7. Master of Law (LL.M. or lic. iur./MLaw); admission to practice law is an advantage.
8. At least three years of relevant legal experience, ideally in the manufacturing sector in an in-house or secondment role.
9. Broad generalist legal background, with demonstrated expertise in commercial law and regulatory topics
10. Strong business acumen and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
11. Willingness to engage constructively with legal uncertainty and calculated business risk
12. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interface confidently with cross-functional stakeholders, including production units
13. High degree of flexibility, curiosity, and willingness to learn
14. Fluent in German and English; French is an asset
