ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a globally recognised private bank with a strong and growing Emerging Markets private banking platform spanning APAC and MEA. This is a compelling opportunity for senior private banking professionals who have built substantial, portable client books within the HNWI and UHNWI segment across key emerging market corridors.
Our client is seeking bankers with genuine market depth — individuals whose client relationships are founded on trust, bespoke advisory, and long‑term wealth stewardship. This is a platform with global reach, multiple booking centre options, and the infrastructure to service the world's most sophisticated private clients.
Both individual candidates and teams are actively sought. Our client has a strong preference for cohesive teams of three to four bankers and is equally open to market heads who lead producing teams.
Vice President (VP) — Minimum AUM USD 200M+; 3‑year business plan target ~USD 70–80M per year.
Director — Minimum AUM USD 300–400M; 3‑year business plan target ~USD 100M per year.
Managing Director (MD) — Minimum AUM USD 500M+; 3‑year business plan target USD 100M+ per year.
All AUM figures refer to assets managed exclusively on behalf of HNWI and UHNWI individuals. Business plan expectations are assessed over a three‑year horizon.
BOOKING CENTRES & OFFICE LOCATIONS
Our client's Emerging Markets platform covers a broad and growing range of high‑wealth corridors. Candidates with deep expertise and established client relationships in any of the following markets are encouraged to apply:
Non‑Resident Indian (NRI) — across Southeast Asia and the Middle East, with particular demand for Dubai and Singapore‑based NRI coverage.
Latin America (LATAM) — with a strong focus on Mexico and broader South and Central American markets.
Broader APAC Emerging Markets — including Southeast Asian wealth corridors.
Middle East & Africa (MEA) — servicing Gulf‑based and Africa‑linked HNWI and UHNWI clients.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
A minimum of 8–10 years' private banking or wealth management experience, with a demonstrable and portable HNW/UHNW client book.
Strong career continuity — candidates with a stable employment history and proven long‑term client relationships are strongly preferred.
Exclusively Front Office (client‑facing) backgrounds; pure relationship management and senior advisory profiles.
Clear track record of AUM growth, net new money generation, and revenue contribution at the required level.
Candidates at Director or MD level should demonstrate leadership capability and the ability to develop and mentor junior bankers.
Team leaders with an established, cohesive team of bankers are particularly welcomed — our client can structure a comprehensive team transition.
Market Heads will be considered where they are actively producing and able to bring a team of performing bankers.
Ability to meet the applicable regulatory and licensing requirements in the relevant booking centre or office location.
COMPENSATION
Our client offers a market‑competitive compensation structure designed to attract and retain the region's best private banking talent. Details are discussed in full on a confidential basis with shortlisted candidates.
Base salary: competitive, commensurate with level, market, and AUM. Senior Directors command USD 200K–300K+ per annum.
Bonus: fully discretionary from day one of employment; uncapped for strong performers.
Revenue model: competitive revenue share model; top performers in target markets benefit from enhanced rates.
Team moves: bespoke commercial structures available for teams; arrangements tailored to team size and AUM.
Role & title: negotiated to reflect AUM, market coverage, and leadership responsibility.
