For an international group with operations across multiple European countries, we are currently looking for an experienced Cost Controller to join the finance team. This role offers a high level of responsibility, international exposure, and close collaboration with senior finance and operational stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
Take ownership of OPEX and CAPEX controlling across multiple operational assets and projects in an international environment
Lead and coordinate cost controlling activities across regions, ensuring consistent planning, tracking and reporting standards
Act as a key finance partner to operational and project teams, providing transparency on cost performance and budget adherence
Prepare and analyse monthly cost centre and project reports, including variance analysis and management commentary
Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment between local units and group requirements
Develop, monitor and enhance KPIs to assess cost efficiency, investment performance and financial discipline
Support investment governance by reviewing business cases and tracking project spending against approved budgets
Ensure high-quality consolidated reporting at group level, including data validation, structural consistency and reconciliation
Your profile
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or a related field
Several years of experience in Cost Controlling, Project Controlling or a similar finance role
Strong hands-on experience with OPEX and CAPEX controlling in an asset-intensive, industrial or energy-related environment
Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting
Experience working in an international, multi-entity or matrix organisation
Confident communicator with a structured, analytical and hands-on approach
Fluency in English is required; German is a strong advantage
