This role will orchestrate short-term supply execution for aftermarket parts and service kits, freeing regional teams to focus on mid- and long-term planning. You will partner with regional SIOP teams, distribution centres, factories, procurement, and service organizations to align demand signals, manage constraints, and deliver exceptional customer service while controlling cost and inventory.
Key Responsibilities
S&OE Orchestration for Global Aftermarket: Own the 0–90 day execution horizon for aftermarket parts and service kits globally, consolidating demand and supply signals into actionable factory and distribution centre guidance.
Lead the weekly S&OE cadence: prioritize allocations, resolve short-term imbalances, and ensure adherence to plan across global DCs and factories.
Demand Signal Management: Partner with regional SIOP and service teams to align demand signals from service organizations, distributors, and e-commerce channels.
Implement demand sensing techniques to capture near-term shifts (seasonal spikes, emergency service events, warranty campaigns).
Inventory & Service Optimization: Balance service level targets (fill rate, OTIF) with inventory and cost objectives across global DCs.
Drive inventory positioning strategies (safety stock, reorder points, multi-echelon optimization) to improve responsiveness and reduce obsolescence.
Constraint Management & Supply Translation: Identify and manage short-term supply constraints and translate them into executable allocation plans.
Collaborate with factories, procurement, and logistics to de-bottleneck critical parts and ensure continuity of supply for high-impact SKUs.
Scenario Planning & Decision Support: Develop what-if scenarios for major service events, demand surges, or supply disruptions; quantify revenue, margin, and service impacts.
Performance Governance: Own S&OE KPIs (service level, backorder reduction, inventory turns, expedite cost, forecast accuracy) and drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
Success Metrics
Service Performance: OTIF, fill rate, backorder cycle time.
Inventory Health: DOS, E&O exposure, inventory turns.
Forecast Quality: Near-term accuracy (MAPE/WAPE), bias, demand latency.
Cost Control: Premium freight, expedite cost, cost-to-serve.
Decision Velocity: Scenario turnaround time, action closure rate.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or Business; Master’s preferred.
Experience: 8–12+ years in aftermarket supply chain, SIOP/S&OE, or service parts planning in a global environment.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with planning systems (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, o9, etc.), demand sensing, and statistical forecasting.
Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of service parts dynamics (long tail SKUs, critical spares, lifecycle management).
Analytical & Governance Skills: Strong scenario modelling, KPI governance, and executive communication.
Language: English required; German or French a plus.
Travel: 15–25% globally.
