Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Engine Performance Expert to join our 'Engine Technology' team within the Digital division's product management department in Switzerland. Your focus will be on developing and applying domain-specific analytics to optimize engine performance, enhancing efficiency, and reducing emissions in our customers' fleets.
Your Responsibilities
1. Support the development of innovative analytics tools and software solutions using your engine performance knowledge.
2. Develop and maintain analytic models for Tekomar XPERT, including supporting operations related to engine configurations.
3. Assist in engine tuning, turbocharger matching, thermodynamic simulations, and proposing adjustments to engine control systems for Engine Part Load Optimization (EPLO).
4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on product and consulting offerings.
5. Provide customer support and troubleshooting (2nd level) for Tekomar products in service.
Your Background
1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
2. Solid understanding of internal combustion engines with a willingness to deepen knowledge.
3. Experience in engine technology in an industrial setting or through academic projects/internships.
4. Familiarity with developing analytical models, with eagerness to grow in this area.
5. Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
6. Proactive, solution-oriented working style.
7. Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn.
8. Team player with good communication skills across diverse backgrounds.
9. Knowledge of agile product development or interest in the marine market.
10. Proficiency in English; German is a plus.
