Senior PreSales Solution Architect
My client is looking for a Senior PreSales Solution Architect to be the key technical partner for their strategic pharma and biotech customers.
You’ll sit at the intersection of science, data, and commercial teams, helping R&D organisations design and scale data & AI solutions that actually get used – and deliver measurable value.
What You’ll Do
* Act as the primary technical point of contact for strategic Life Sciences accounts
* Understand each customer’s scientific data, AI architecture, and roadmap
* Translate business goals into scalable technical architectures and implementation plans
* Lead lifecycle engagement from presales through delivery and ongoing optimisation
* Run technical reviews, spot risks early, and recommend improvements
* Support expansions, POCs, and co-innovation with Sales and Product
* Deliver tailored demos and enablement sessions to scientists, R&D IT, and leadership
* Work with partners such as Databricks, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure to maximise value

What You Bring
Background
* Scientific background and 5+ years’ experience in Life Sciences (pharma, biotech, CRO, etc.)
* 5+ years as a Senior Technical / Solutions / Data Architect/ Field Applications Specialist
* Experience with R&D IT, Data & Informatics, or scientific data platforms
Technical
* Python and cloud databases: Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, NoSQL
* Big data / lakehouse tools (e.g. Spark)
* Data governance & quality (lineage, metadata, data quality processes)
* Analytics & BI: Tableau, Power BI, QlikView and their backend needs
Commercial & Soft Skills
* Comfortable with senior scientific and technical stakeholders
* Strong at solution mapping, value/ROI framing, and negotiation
* Clear communicator, confident presenter, strong relationship builder
