We’re now looking for a strategic and highly driven Sport Competition Manager to join our T100 Triathlon World Tour Operations team. At the PTO, you’ll play a critical role in planning and delivering world-class competition environments, ensuring technical accuracy, athlete safety, and operational excellence across the globe.

This role reports directly to our Director of Sport (T100)
Key Role Responsibilities
Competition & Operational Planning
Ensure all competitions are delivered in accordance with T100 Triathlon World Tour processes and procedures. Act as a primary liaison with World Triathlon, Local Organising Committees, and key stakeholders to ensure clear alignment and communication. Support delivery of all operational milestones, reporting structures, master schedules, and contingency frameworks.
Single-discipline shoulder events
Venue & Course Design
Ensure LOC delivery aligns with approved Venue and Course Designs and meets all technical competition requirements. Work collaboratively with the Event Manager to ensure venues function effectively for all stakeholder groups, including athletes, broadcasters, spectators, partners, and operational teams.

Swim, bike, and run courses
Transition areas
Field of Play
Event Documentation & Operational Deliverables
Event Documentation: Oversee and quality‑control all key competition documents, including master schedules, technical briefs, safety plans, and crisis management plans.
Venue & Course Operations: Manage all operational planning and execution for competition areas, including course layouts (swim, bike, run), transition areas, Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), and venue access control.
Safety, Risk & Medical: Lead the implementation of comprehensive safety management plans, detailed risk assessments, Medical Plan integration, and PTO’s crisis and contingency frameworks.
Cross‑Functional Integration: Ensure seamless Broadcast integration and cross‑functional alignment with all internal and external partners.
Governance & Reporting: Drive budget‑aligned tracking, deliver post‑event performance analysis, and contribute to the development of T100 Playbooks and standardised delivery frameworks.
On‑Site Delivery: Act as the Sport Competition Lead for key events, maintaining full on‑site responsibility and providing real‑time problem‑solving during build, event, and breakdown phases.
Who We’re Looking For
Experience & Technical Knowledge
Experience: 5–7+ years in event operations management, with a preference for sports or endurance events.
Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of triathlon competition requirements.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder projects simultaneously.
Core Skills: Excellent written/verbal communication, strong organisational, and project management abilities.
Financial & Risk: Financial awareness, budget management experience, and proactive risk identification/problem‑solving.
Operational Scope: Comfortable operating at both strategic oversight and hands‑on delivery levels.
Individual Attributes
Leadership: Natural leader capable of motivating staff and volunteers.
Mindset: Athlete and customer‑focused, innovative, and driven to improve processes.
Personal Qualities: High attention to detail, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
