Welcome to DEKRA Arbeit. For a client of ours, we are currently looking for an Application Support Engineer in Zürich.
Your Role:
* You will provide technical support for business-critical applications, ensuring high availability and performance
* Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve application-related incidents
* You will monitor application health, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
* Manage user requests, incident tickets, and problem resolution within agreed SLAs
* Participate in application upgrades, patching, and deployment activities
* Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across the support team
Your Profile:
* A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, with 3–5 years of experience in application support or a similar role
* Solid experience in supporting enterprise applications and understanding of ITIL practices
* Proficient in SQL for data analysis and issue investigation
* Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is a plus
* Experience working with monitoring tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Fluency in English and German
