The Calibration officer manages the calibration of manufacturing equipment at the Nidau and Brügg facility, ensuring all calibrations are current and record are complete and in compliance with STAAR Quality Management System.
TASKS
·Schedule and coordinate external calibrations
·Schedule and perform internal calibrations according to internal standards
·Manage and maintain all calibration system labels
·Ensure that calibration documents are current and properly updated.
·Ensure up-to-date records are controlled and available in Equipment History File and in SIMCO (computerized maintenance management system (CMMS))
·Develop and maintain relationship with external calibration supplier
·Work with equipment owners to resolve calibration issues
·Support out-of-calibration investigations when necessary
·Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Education: Completed technical apprenticeship/degree or other completed degree with experience in Calibration
Special Knowledge: Good English skills both written and spoken
German and/or French is an asset.
Experience with GMP
Experience in Calibration
Personality: Precise and attentive to details
Flexible and autonomous team worker
Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of working experience in similar position, preferably in medical device or other highly regulated industry
