The Engineering Department (EN) pushes the limits of technology to enable physicists to conduct their research. Within the Electrical Engineering (EL) group of the EN department, you will join the Maintenance and Operation section (MO), responsible for electrical designs, database, and documentation management of the evolving transmission and distribution networks.

Job Description
As an Electrical Technician in the Maintenance and Operation section, your responsibilities will include maintaining and operating CERN's high and low voltage electrical network. Your tasks will involve:
Operating the electrical network, including lockouts and reconfiguration.
Performing troubleshooting, repairs, and documenting activities.
Conducting regular inspections to ensure reliability and safety.
Serving as the contact person for connected users.
Supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Contributing to electrical projects: participating in meetings, defining technical solutions, testing, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
Organizing small electrical works: discussing needs, defining solutions, supervising interventions, and ensuring commissioning and acceptance.
Maintaining accurate records of all activities, issues, and corrective actions.
Qualifications
Technical certificate or secondary education, or equivalent experience in Electricity or related fields.
Experience
Proven experience in operation and maintenance of high and low voltage electrical equipment, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Knowledge of electrical equipment associated with electrical networks.
Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is an asset.
Experience supervising third-party work is an asset.

Additional Information
Application deadline: 23/07/2025. Contract type: Limited duration (5 years). Includes participation in stand-by duty, work in radiation areas, night shifts, underground interventions, and requires a valid driving license. Medical clearance is mandatory before contract confirmation.
