Position Overview
The Merchandiser will be responsible for planning and executing merchandising strategies that drive sales and profitability. This includes analyzing sales data, managing inventory, and collaborating with the vendors and internal teams to ensure the right products are available in the right quantities, at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
* Product Strategy & Planning
o Develop seasonal product assortments based on market trends and business objectives.
o Conduct competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and market gaps.
o Set sales targets, stock levels, and markdown strategies.
* Inventory Management
o Monitor stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment.
o Identify fast- and slow-moving products and recommend appropriate actions such as reorders, transfers, or markdowns.
o Oversee the allocation and distribution of products across locations.
* Data Analysis & Reporting
o Analyze sales performance and prepare regular reports on key metrics such as sell-through rates, gross margins, and inventory turns.
o Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for future planning.
* Collaboration & Communication
o Coordinate with vendors, buying, planning to align on merchandising strategies.
o Communicate regularly with sales team to address specific needs and challenges.
