Overview
Novartis is a global healthcare leader with a strong focus on bioconjugation products. This role is part of the Global Technical R&D department within the Chemical & Analytical Development (CHAD) team, responsible for developing chemical synthetic processes for manufacturing antibody‑oligonucleotide constructs.

Responsibilities
* Use laboratory expertise to define future manufacturing processes and strategies for bioconjugation projects such as Antibody‑Oligonucleotides.
* Generate synthetic and analytical data to evaluate and define bioconjugation manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal quality, efficiency, and environmental compatibility.
* Collaborate with internal and external partners as part of the drug substance team to deliver new oligonucleotide drugs on time and to quality standards.
* Provide relevant documentation of experiments and related data for filing and patent purposes.
* Maintain and optimize lab infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient chemical experimentation.
Education
* Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship (e.g., Laborant Chemie/Analytik EFZ) or BSc./MSc. in a related field.
Experience
* 3–5 years experience in synthesis or chemical process development (strong requirement).
* Proven knowledge in bioconjugation or chemical modification of complex molecular structures (desirable).
* Advanced knowledge of software and computer tools such as Office and chromatography data‑evaluation software (e.g., Chromeleon) (desirable).
* Experience with SEC chromatography or other relevant analytical techniques (benefit).
* Independent, self‑motivated work style with team orientation and strong communication skills.
* Good documentation skills required during experiment execution and results reporting.
Languages
* English (oral and written) required; German and other languages beneficial.
