Your Tasks
1. Collaborate with the CPO to align product and tech strategy, while driving continuous improvements in organizational structure and frameworks
2. Lead an international team of approximately 100 employees and managers, playing a pivotal role in shaping our technological future in close alignment with the Chief Product Officer (CPO)
3. Develop and take responsibility for a forward-looking technology strategy focused on the strategic use of AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science to drive business value
4. Shape a scalable and resilient engineering organization with clear structures, career paths, and transparent leadership
5. Drive strategic initiatives to seamlessly align Tech, Product, and Business – as an active member of the executive leadership team
6. Ensure excellence in architecture, code quality, security, and system reliability – maintaining a high technical standard
7. Empower leaders and international teams (including nearshoring) through coaching and a trust-based culture
8. Take responsibility for efficient structures: optimize agile processes, manage via OKRs & KPIs, and lead proactive budget and resource planning
Your skills
9. Experience as a CTO (or similar role) with a focus on AI, transformational projects, scalable tech strategies, organizational development, and team leadership
10. Entrepreneurial, hands-on leader with strong business acumen
11. Preferably experienced in marketplaces (recruiting, staffing, ATS or similar) in DACH/EU
12. Solid expertise in modern software architecture and agile development – ideally with experience in cloud, microservices, event-driven architectures, and modern frontends
13. Ability to meaningfully integrate AI/ML solutions into products, processes, and the organization, fostering a data-driven decision-making and innovation culture
14. Passion for building strong engineering cultures where people grow and take ownership, along with experience leading international, distributed teams
15. Commitment to treating data as a strategic asset, proactively prioritizing privacy, and fostering organizational trust through adherence to recognized standards and certifications
16. High standards for transparency, collaboration, and impact – you’re a sparring partner, not just a decision-maker
17. Ability to translate business needs, set priorities, and communicate clearly – fluent in both German and English

23. The salary: Will depend on the candidate’s skills, experience, motivation, and how well they match the profile. At the moment, it’s expected to be between CHF 240'000 and 280'000 (gross, including base salary and bonus).
