The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of Technical Product Information in accordance with established writing guidelines and standards. This role involves monitoring and inspecting content, working closely with the team's Technical Writers, reporting on any quality-related issues, and providing training to Technical Writers.
Responsibilities include:
overseeing the correction and review of documentation created by the local Technical Writers
establishing, improving, and updating writing guidelines for English content creation, and structuring modular texts within the CMS System ST4
assuming the responsibility for quality and standards as an ambassador
assuming responsibility for creating and updating documentation included with products based on norms and company-internal standards
coaching and mentoring junior technical writers and onboarders across different businesses and conducting training courses for new onboarders
completing timely and accurate audits; reporting on findings
ensuring all relevant regulations, work rules, and quality procedures are followed on the department
Requirements include:
a high level of technical expertise
advanced user knowledge in XML-based editing systems, preferably ST4 and knowledge of media editing
excellent knowledge of written and spoken English, C1 or equivalent
a focus on service and customer-orientation and a commitment to quality
the ability to work on a team and independently, with good communication skills, and a sociable demeanour
willingness to work with international teams, with sound intercultural skills & understanding
the ability to convey difficult concepts in a simple and understandable manner
10 – 15 % of travel for onsite training
