For one of our clients, an asset management company, we are looking for a Head of Finance, to strengthen the financial capabilities of the company and supporting its next stage of development.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and lead the financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives and regulatory framework.
* Oversee all financial activities, including long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and financial reporting.
* Manage and mentor the Accounting & Services team (3 people), fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and professional development.
* Proactively manage tax-related activities for both the company and its clients; ensure full compliance with tax laws and coordinate with external advisors to develop effective tax strategies and mitigate risks.
* Provide comprehensive financial data, analysis, and presentations to management and key stakeholders to support informed decision‑making.
* Partner with cross‑functional teams to enhance financial efficiency and support the achievement of business goals.
* Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, FINMA requirements, and industry best practices.
* Review and update internal financial policies and procedures to ensure adaptability, compliance, and operational excellence.
* Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and automation within financial operations.
* Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Lead and drive strategic financial initiatives to address emerging challenges and capitalize on market opportunities.
Profile
* University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline; a professional qualification (CFA, CPA, etc.) is a strong asset.
* 10–15+ years of proven experience in senior finance roles within the financial services sector, ideally in asset management, wealth management, or banking.
* Strong understanding of Swiss tax regulations, financial reporting, and accounting standards.
* Proficient in financial management systems, advanced Excel, and data analysis tools.
* Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail, a results‑driven approach, and problem‑solving ability.
* In‑depth knowledge of financial regulations and FINMA requirements applicable to asset managers and financial institutions.
* Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop high‑performing teams.
* Hands‑on, pragmatic, and relationship‑oriented finance professional, capable of collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Business fluency in English and French, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
