The CERN Technical Student Program 2026 is a fully funded internship opportunity in Switzerland for undergraduate or master’s students in STEM fields. The program provides practical experience in a professional environment and may support accommodation, travel, visa assistance, stipend, and related benefits.
The internship is a full-time placement in Geneva, lasting 4 to 12 months and integrated with the student’s studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s). The program is open to international students and does not require an IELTS language test.
The program is open to students across technical disciplines, including electrical or electronics engineering, applied physics, engineering (general/civil, mechanical), mathematics, IT and robotics, material and surface science, and related fields. The CERN fully funded internship offers practical training and is designed to complement students’ final year projects.

Eligibility Criteria of the CERN Technical Student Program 2026:
* Applicants must be nationals of a CERN member or associate member state.
* Applicants must have completed at least 18 months / 3 semesters of their studies.
* They must remain full-time enrolled students during the CERN internship in Switzerland.
* Knowledge of French and English is expected; no proof of an English language test is required for CERN Student Program 2026.
* Students specializing in experimental or theoretical particle physics are not eligible for this program.
