Your Tasks
Act as the nominated and delegated Chief Engineer for the Trainer Aircraft, providing clear, pragmatic technical direction and resolution of complex engineering issues across all disciplinesPerform review and approval of design data including Engineering Reports, design documentation, analyses, and safety?critical publications, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and certification requirements (e.g. EASA/FAA)Chair and technically govern design reviews on behalf of the IPT Leader, ensuring technical robustness, traceability of requirements, within budget/schedule and appropriate resolution of actionsManage the Continued Airworthiness Process (CAP), maintaining visibility of all open airworthiness issues and reporting status, risk, and progamatic mitigation plans to the Airworthiness Review Board (ARB)Act as the technical representative of the Design Organisation in customer airworthiness activities, certification discussions, and external design reviews with customers and authoritiesWork with the other IPT Chief Engineers to define, improve, and communicate engineering standards, design principles, and lessons learned, including authorship of the Chief Engineer's Newsletter for the wider Engineering Department to promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

Extensive broad aerospace engineering experience, with a minimum of 10 years in engineering management or equivalent roles, demonstrating successful delivery within complex, fast?paced, and highly regulated environmentsDemonstrated capability to provide technical vision and strategic direction, driving continuous improvement of products, processes, and engineering standards across the organizationProven ability to take a proactive, solution?oriented approach to resolving complex, cross?disciplinary engineering and airworthiness issues
