About the Job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, within the Culinary Department, the Commis Chef assists in the preparation, production, and presentation of dishes for Room Service and the MO Bar. The Commis Chef reports directly to the Chef de Cuisine.
As Commis Chef, you will be responsible for:
* Assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with Mandarin Oriental standards.
* Ensuring all mise en place is ready for service.
* Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas.
* Supporting senior chefs in day-to-day operations and learning new culinary techniques.
* Complying with all hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
As Commis Chef we expect from you:
* A passion for culinary arts and attention to detail.
* Previous kitchen experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment preferred.
* Team spirit, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow.
* Good communication skills and a flexible attitude.
* A valid Swiss work permit or EU passport.
