Job Title: SAP FS-RI Senior Business Analyst

Description of the business area and project
The team is responsible for the maintenance and further development of the core reinsurance system, which is used by various business units. We handle 3 different business scenarios: Assumed reinsurance, ceded reinsurance and pooling for international programs. We have an increased project-pipeline and need external support to handle the overall demand. Team location is Zurich. Work mainly remote.
Overview of the Team
Our team consists of 18 internals (mainly team/project-leads, FS-RI, FS-CD BA’s and SAP basis) and 10-15 externals. Main part of the externals is located in a nearshore facility in Romania, which handles all FS-RI /CD development.
Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Analyze business requirements, perform data analysis, and propose solutions/designs
2. Execute change initiatives and enhancement projects
3. Coordinate closely with business stakeholders and the onshore development team
4. Organize, execute, and support testing and training activities
5. Prepare and maintain clear, structured documentation
Essential skills and qualifications
6. Excellent expertise in SAP FS‑RI (Base and Risk Manager Non‑Life), including batch processing, closing processes, and data model understanding.
7. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a reinsurance business analyst, with a strong preference for candidates bringing 8+ years
8. One cycle End-to-end implementation experience SAP FS-RI
9. Able to work independently and deliver changes/projects with minimal guidance
10. Highly client‑focused team player with strong collaboration skills
11. Fluent in English (required); German or Italian are a plus (spoken and written)
12. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word etc.)
Desired skills and qualifications
13. SAP BW, FS‑CD or accounting expertise is a strong advantage
14. German or Italian language skills are a plus
15. experience with SAP ABAP
16. Guidewire reinsurance add-on knowledge
17. SAP FI expertise including ALE knowledge
18. experience with Microsoft Azure
