We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer to drive sales growth and build strong customer relationships. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background and excellent commercial skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Document all client inquiries in a timely manner.
* Assign new inquiries to the appropriate project number, ensuring seamless coordination with other departments.
* Obtain approval for bidding or declining proposals, taking into account client requirements and scope of service.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and propose project prices that meet or exceed customer expectations.
* Develop and submit technical proposals to the territory director, highlighting innovative solutions and outstanding sales skills.
* Coordinate with Finance to create accurate project cost estimates, considering all relevant factors.
* Request site surveys from Operations when necessary, ensuring thorough understanding of client needs.
* Update customer information and manage inquiries through the corporate EMS, adhering to established sales flow charts.
* Provide regular reports to senior management, including forecasts, project status, and sales performance metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience with commercial skills.
* Possession of additional qualifications or courses in commercial activities is advantageous.
* Fluency in English is essential for effective communication and presentation.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to clients.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP systems is beneficial for efficient data management.
* Solid technical knowledge of In-Line Inspection products and industry standards.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial and technical tender preparation, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector or service project-based companies.
