PpAs an LPG Analyst to support our global oil trading team, providing in-depth market analysis, building and updating supply and demand models, providing value-add market insights, and analyzing high-frequency indicators of market dynamics. The role is based in Geneva, Switzerland. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliCollating, analysing and interpreting data to produce commodity market insights. /liliConduct comprehensive research and analysis on fuel oil markets, including supply/demand dynamics, pricing trends, arbitrage opportunities, and regulatory developments across major global trading hubs. /liliBuild and maintain supply and demand models, and develop detailed market reports, presentations, and trade recommendations to inform trading strategies. /liliProvide trade flow analysis and other ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making by senior traders and management. /liliCollaborate closely with traders, operations teams, and other analysts to identify trading opportunities, monitor positions, and manage risk exposure. /liliBuild and maintain proprietary models and tools for market analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning. /liliStay up-to-date on industry news, market intelligence, and competitor activities to provide a competitive edge. /liliEstablish strong relationships with key market participants, including refiners, suppliers, and customers, to gather market intelligence. /li /ulh3Required Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. /liliMinimum of 4 years of experience in commodity analysis or a related analytical role, preferably with exposure to fuel oil/refined products markets. /liliPrior experience in commodity research, specifically in LPG analytics. /liliStrong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data sets and extract meaningful insights. /liliExperience using trade data, data visualization tools and statistical data‑modeling software. /liliProficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and Microsoft Office suite. /liliKnowledge of commodity trading fundamentals, risk management principles, and financial modeling. /liliFluency in English. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliAdvanced educational degree. /liliFluency in another foreign language. /liliProgramming experience and a solid understanding of database concepts (Python and SQL preferred; R, MATLAB or VBA beneficial). /liliDirect knowledge of LPG markets. /li /ulh3Attributes for Success /h3ulliExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. /liliStrong intrinsic interest in financial markets, geopolitical developments and a sound understanding of economic theory and cycles. /liliSelf‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. /liliAbility to work independently and proactively to deliver timely results. /liliAnalytical mindset and critical thinking skills, with an emphasis on providing proactive insights that have tradeable value. /li /ulh3Work Authorization /h3pWe welcome applications from candidates across the globe.
