About the Role
This is a critical position that demands exceptional legal and compliance expertise to drive our European operations forward. As the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for navigating complex pharmaceutical regulations and providing strategic counsel to our regional business units.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance across Europe.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute commercial and medical affairs initiatives.
* Provide expert guidance on ethics frameworks, including regional and country-specific policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
* Lead regional labor relations resolution and investigations, ensuring timely and fair outcomes.
* Oversee regional privacy and data compliance, working closely with external Data Protection Officer and Data Privacy Representative.
* Drive regional compliance policy development and training, ensuring corporate and regional policies are up-to-date and effective.
* Serve as the regional point of contact for Compliance Hotline and corporate governance framework.
* Advise on Merger & Acquisition transactions, leveraging your expertise to drive strategic growth.
* Coordinate budget management for external counsel and service providers, ensuring efficient spend.
Requirements
We seek an experienced professional with:
* Masters of Law or equivalent degree, with a strong background in pharmaceutical biotech regulation.
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Expertise in biotech and pharma regulations across Europe and local country levels.
