He ensures the smooth, safe, and quality-compliant handling of all logistics processes from goods receipt to storage and picking to shipping. In doing so, he acts as the central interface between the operational team, quality, planning, engineering, EHS, and logistics management. Your main responsibilities include: /plipLeading and developing your team through training, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. /p /lilipManaging resource planning, absence management, and employee development to ensure operational flexibility. /p /lilipCoordinating all logistical tasks between customers and internal stakeholders. /p /lilipOverseeing the accurate receipt, booking, sampling, and storage of goods. /p /lilipEnsuring timely material supply to production, managing material flows, stock control, and SAP EWM transactional data. /p /lilipMaintaining smooth material and information flow between external warehouses, internal logistics, and production. /p /lilipGuaranteeing on-time, GDP-compliant customer order shipments, including picking, packing, and shipping documentation. /p /lilipCollaborating closely with customer service, shipping planning, and supply chain teams. /p /lilipManaging freight forwarding activities for the Visp plant. /p /lilipDriving process optimization through regular Kaizen meetings and implementing efficiency improvements. /p /lipbWhat we are looking for: /b /plipA European Logistics Degree (nice to have). /p /lilipMinimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a multinational pharmaceutical environment. /p /lilipLBMS Green Belt certification. /p /lilipStrong project and program management skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders. /p /lilipExcellent analytical skills and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., BI solutions). /p /lilipAbility to thrive in a matrix organization. /p /lilipFluency in English and German, both written and spoken. /p /lipbAbout Lonza /b /ppAt Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
