Job Description
Kopter, as part of Leonardo, is developing the AW09, a next-generation single-engine helicopter that boasts the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category. This aircraft features increased modularity, modern electronic systems, and delivers the latest safety standards while offering more performance, comfort, and low operating costs.
Your Responsibilities
* Determine the actual characteristics of the helicopter to verify predicted behavior based on computed and/or wind tunnel test data.
* Prepare and support helicopter ground and flight tests.
* Advise aircrew on the safe and efficient use of the helicopter and its systems.
* Plan, execute, and report on flight trials efficiently, ensuring the highest possible levels of flight safety, achieving technical objectives, and minimizing time and costs.
* Prepare flight test orders, test plans, compile/analyze flight test data, and publish flight test reports.
* Provide advice and support to the Design Office specialist engineering disciplines.
* Manage helicopter configuration daily and coordinate with the maintenance team.
* Monitor safety-critical parameters to enhance overall flight safety.
* Act as Telemetry Controller when required.
Your Qualifications
* Hold a degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Be a graduate of the FTE long course from a recognized TP school or hold a national FTE license.
* Have greater than 500 hours of Cat 1 & Cat 2 helicopter Flight Test experience.
* Hold an EASA Class 2 medical certificate.
* Have a minimum of 5 years of previous experience conducting helicopter flight trials.
* Possess a Private Pilot's Licence (optional).
* Have knowledge of Flight Test Requirements (CS27 & CS29).
* Have very good English language skills (B2 level).
