About Bioscibex
Bioscibex is a Swiss startup developing an innovative single-use bioreactor incubator designed to simplify and accelerate bioprocessing. As we prepare to bring our technology to market, we are seeking an Operations & Quality Manager to lead our outsourced manufacturing, regulatory readiness, and product quality activities.
Role Overview
The Operations & Quality Manager will be responsible for managing and scaling operations, ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance, and driving cost optimization as Bioscibex transitions from development to commercial production. This hands‑on role will coordinate activities between contract manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution from development to market launch.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
 * Oversee day-to-day operations with Bioscibex’s contract manufacturers for both hardware and consumables.
 * Coordinate production planning, order execution, and delivery schedules across partners.
 * Ensure manufacturing partners meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Quality & Regulatory Leadership
 * Establish and maintain a scalable Quality Management System (QMS).
 * Oversee product qualification, validation, and documentation required for market entry.
 * Ensure readiness for audits, certifications, and regulatory submissions.
 * Serve as the main operational and quality interface between Bioscibex and its contract manufacturers.
 * Negotiate and manage supply and quality agreements, ensuring continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
 * Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality or operational issues proactively.
Cost Optimization & Process Improvement
 * Drive initiatives to reduce COGS through process optimization, design-for-manufacture, and supplier cost control.
 * Evaluate and implement improvements in supply chain efficiency and production scalability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
 * Partner with R&D and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability, scalability, and compliance of new product designs.
 * Contribute to strategic planning for product launch, supply chain continuity, and future operational growth.
Qualifications
 * Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
 * 7+ years of experience in operations, quality, or supply chain management within biotech, medtech, or life sciences.
 * Strong understanding of quality, regulatory requirements, and outsourced production models.
 * Proven success in managing contract manufacturers and external suppliers.
 * Demonstrated ability to drive COGS reduction and implement scalable operational systems.
 * Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-changing startup environment and take on a broad range of tasks and challenges beyond a fixed scope.
 * Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills with a hands‑on, entrepreneurial mindset.
 * Understanding of automation systems and PLC programming (Siemens)
 * French & English: proficient | German: a plus
