In this role, you will be a key legal partner, helping to navigate complex global trade legal issues and contribute to our business's strategic success. /p h3What's In It For You /h3 ul liStrategic contribution: Actively contribute to strategic business development and provide vital legal advice to the business across our Agribusiness Value Chains. /li liGlobal network: Collaboration with our international legal department and cross-functional teams worldwide to ensure seamless and aligned legal support. /li liGrowth development: Ongoing training and exciting development opportunities within a dynamic, globally active organization. /li liCreative freedom: Independent work in an environment that values initiative and entrepreneurial thinking, combining best practices from legal department colleagues globally. /li liAttractive overall package: Competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with your experience and impact. /li /ul h3Your Responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide general and strategic legal counsel and support on all legal matters involving global trade across our Agribusiness Value Chains, proactively identifying and addressing legal risks and issues. /li liAct as an integral part of the global trade legal team, offering broader support to the European regional team. /li liDrafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial documents including sale and purchase contracts, letters of indemnity, guarantees, novations, assignments, storage, and warehousing agreements relevant to the trading business. /li liManaging and advising on commercial disputes, litigation, and arbitrations, both in-house and with external counsel, including monitoring legal fees and reserves. /li liPartnering closely with global Agribusiness Value Chains, global functions, and regional/global legal departments to ensure a unified approach to global trade legal issues, gaining a deep understanding of business strategies, challenges, and opportunities. /li liMonitoring regulatory developments affecting global trade and agribusiness, and advising on compliance matters (including counterparty due diligence, credit, and risk management) in conjunction with relevant functions. /li liDeveloping and delivering internal training sessions on relevant global trade legal topics. /li liSupporting the use of legal technology tools (e.g., Docusign, Tracker) and contributing to efficient legal operations. /li liProviding management with required reports on litigation, projects, and costs. /li liDeveloping, overseeing, and managing relationships with external law firms, including cost control and budgeting. /li /ul h3Your Profile /h3 ul liUK qualified solicitor or comparable qualification with English and common law experience may be considered. /li liAt least 3 years PQE (Post-Qualification Experience). /li liMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in an international law firm and/or as in-house counsel, dedicated to commodities trading (GAFTA, FOSFA, SAL, RSA etc) and/or shipping. /li liExcellent skills in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal agreements and contracts. /li liDeep understanding of commercial law, trade law, and regulatory issues pertinent to global trade and agribusiness. /li liStrong communication skills in English (both oral and written) with the ability to effectively convey complex legal concepts; additional languages are a plus. /li liAnalytical strength, excellent research, and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach. /li liTeam-oriented personality with the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively, build relationships, prioritize effectively, and demonstrate business acumen. /li /ul h3Why Join Our Team? /h3 pThis role offers a genuine opportunity to leverage your specialized legal knowledge in a leading global enterprise.
