Job description

Senior business development/sales professional with a strong technical background (BSEE), extensive semiconductor sales, account management and new business development experience to cover the DACH region.

Proven track record of successfully selling direct to customers, and through reps & distribution channels.

Your essential duties and responsibilities:

1. Field sales and marketing activities for all of EMs products and customers in the DACH Region
2. KPIs: sales revenue and design wins
3. Develop sales strategies for the territory in alignment with company objectives to achieve growth & revenue targets
4. Identify and develop new customers, market segments and opportunities
5. Identify, qualify and manage sales channels, reps and distributors
6. Engage with eco-system partners to bring to the market complete solutions focusing on EM chips
7. Analyze and understand the competitive landscape and work together with the BUs to adjust the EM positioning, strategy, as well as future product development
8. Provide support to customers from design phase through mass production
9. Establish and maintain key customer relationships at all levels, including Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, and Management
10. Drive C-level interaction between EM and customers / eco-system partners
11. Lead the commercial negotiations and drive the execution of development contracts with the different internal and external stakeholders (R&D, legal, quality and logistics)
12. Travel as needed for customer engagement and business development

Profile

To be successful in this position you need to bring along following core competencies:

13. Experience selling connectivity and RFID solutions BLE, Wireless, RFID, NFC, IoT and Sensor applications
14. Business development green field opportunity identification, qualification and design in
15. Good network within the territory, with particular focus on Germany
16. Understanding of RFID industry eco-system and ability to engage with its main stakeholders for driving EM business
17. Account penetration at all levels, including engineering, business management, and purchasing
18. Identification of key stakeholders and relationship building
19. Strong communication skills, ability to articulate EMs value proposition in a crisp and concise manner, adapted to the target audience
20. Excellent listener, good understanding of customer organizational dynamics, navigating through the customer platforms & systems to maximize sales & product fit
21. Technical sales of proprietary & complex solutions at the architecture & concept stages
22. Comfortable with C-level and Engineering level interactions
23. Understanding of eco-system sales and engagement with relevant partners
24. Autonomy and initiative, ability to operate remotely and interact effectively across the entire EM organization

Professional requirements

25. Minimum 10 years of experience in selling technology in the electronics/semiconductor space
26. Background with ASICs, mixed signal ICs, BLE, Sensors, NFC, RFID, and wireless is a must
27. Education: Minimum BSEE or equivalent
28. Language skills: German and English are mandatory, French is a plus
29. Ability to prioritize, multi task, and to work with minimal guidance and supervision
30. Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player, professional attitude & work ethic, strong interpersonal skills, and detail-oriented
31. Strong communication and networking skills

Languages

32. Fluent in English and German are mandatory
33. French or any other language are an advantage
