Strategic Procurement Manager
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Strategic Procurement Manager to lead procurement operations for a prestigious client in the aviation sector based in Switzerland. This role is pivotal in driving sourcing excellence, supplier performance, and cost optimisation across a highly regulated industry, with visibility across senior leadership and the opportunity to influence procurement transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end procurement activities for aviation-related goods and services, including MRO, components, and technical services.
* Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans aligned with business objectives.
* Manage supplier relationships, performance evaluations, and contract negotiations.
* Ensure compliance with aviation industry regulations and internal procurement policies.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and legal.
* Identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Monitor market trends and risks to inform procurement decisions.
* Support digitisation and automation of procurement processes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
* Minimum 7 years of procurement experience, preferably within aviation or aerospace.
* Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
* Fluent in English; German or French is a strong advantage.
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and procurement tools.
* Knowledge of aviation compliance standards (e.g., EASA, FAA) is a plus.
* Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.
