Senior Data Architect - Space/Aeronautics at Swisslinx
Swisslinx is looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to design and oversee the data architecture for our space program. Responsibilities include planning, designing, integrating, and maintaining data solutions that handle large volumes of information from satellites and ground stations.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, and oversee the space program’s data architecture.
Develop data models and structures for efficient storage and access of large volumes of information.
Integrate diverse data sources (e.g., satellites, ground stations) and implement required interfaces.
Manage and maintain data throughout its entire lifecycle.
Ensure data quality and comply with all security and regulatory standards.
Implement systems for data processing and analysis.
Ensure scalability to handle future needs and growing data volumes.
Guarantee high availability, reliability, and performance of the data infrastructure.
Define access policies and protect data against misuse.
Requirements
Completed degree in computer science, data science, or a related discipline.
Several years of professional experience in data architecture, data engineering, and/or data management.
Professional experience in the space sector and familiarity with Dev(Sec)Ops structures.
Strong hands‑on mentality, excellent self‑management skills, and a proactive, solution‑driven mindset.
Analytical thinking with an eye for complex systems, structures, and processes.
Strong communication skills and experience with proactive stakeholder management.
