Summary
The Assistant/Paralegal supports the Project Development Department by enhancing productivity through administrative, legal, and organizational support. This role combines traditional assistant duties with paralegal responsibilities, including legal document preparation, title review, and coordination with external legal entities. The position is remote and requires strong communication, attention to detail, and legal acumen.
Essential Functions
Administrative & Land Title Support
* Maintain and update the database of landowners for communication and lease preparation.
* Prepare maps and presentation materials for internal and external meetings.
* Assist in lease and memo preparation, execution, and tracking.
* Manage digital office supplies and coordinate printing of leases and sales materials.
* Provide remote support for field operations as needed.
Paralegal Responsibilities
* Draft, review, and organize legal documents including leases, title reports, and land agreements.
* Conduct preliminary title research and assist in resolving title issues.
* Coordinate with external legal counsel and title companies.
* Maintain legal files and ensure compliance with document retention policies.
* Support due diligence efforts for land acquisition and project development.

Required Education/Qualifications
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite and document management systems
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Experience with Procore or similar construction/legal management software
* Familiarity with land title processes and legal terminology
Preferred Qualifications
* Paralegal certification or legal assistant experience
* Experience in renewable energy or real estate development
* Prior experience in legal or project development environments
