Gas & Power Trading ITIn this role, you will assume an expert role for the energy management systems, which includes the physical and short-term power trading systems, and the integration of systems within the gas and power trading landscape. You will oversee the architecture and take a leading role on solutions design within the energy management perimeter, and the execution thereof. The landscape will include an optimal mix of in-house developments and bought-in third party systems. To support the continued expansion of the gas and power business, and particularly TotalEnergies transition to power, there is a significant change program in progress that you will be expected to contribute to.You will report to the Manager of Energy Management Systems, Gas & Power Trading IT.
Activités
What you will do:
1. Oversee the architecture for the energy management systems perimeter
2. Take a lead/advisory role in energy management projects and contribute as necessary
3. Advise and manage the integration of systems within the power trading and energy management environment
4. Communicate with business stakeholders to understand their complex requirements and advise IT and business solutions, with an optimal mix of global vs regional solutions
5. Cooperate and align with other Technology Experts and Tech Leads from within Trading IT on cross-domain design and implementation initiatives
6. Coach new and existing analysts, developers and application engineers, to ensure standards and knowledge transfer
7. Work with the relevant IT delivery teams, provide inputs to their work and ensure the quality of deliverables
8. Provide inputs to procurement initiatives, in terms of design and requirements inputs, and the drafting of contracts with third parties
9. Apply the architectural, security and design, and other relevant standards of Trading IT, including cloud migration
10. Ensure compliance of development and related activities with legal, regulatory and other audit/internal requirements, e.g. Sarbannes-Oxley
11. Contribute to the strategy and budgeting exercises for Gas & Power IT
Profil du candidat
12. 5+ years’ experience of working as an IT Architect or as a Lead Developer
13. A deep understanding of power trading and energy management systems, likely gained from working with a power utility or trading company
14. A strong, all-round knowledge of IT and software integration/development, together with experience and knowledge of project management, architectural frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and software development methodologies
15. Expertise in cloud and integration technologies is desirable, likewise experience of contract management and procurement
16. Demonstrable ability to create an architectural vision and to design complex IT solutions, and to act as a mentor
17. Educated to at least Masters degree level or an equivalent in computer science or a similar technology or engineering discipline
18. Fluent in English; competency in French is advantageous
