Global Production & Supply Chain Spouts is responsible within SIG for the worldwide production of innovative plastic closures for our carton packaging for beverages and liquid foods. Production takes place in large series on high-performance injection molding machines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality and product safety management systems for GP Spouts, including planning, organization, conducting, documenting, and continuous improvement.
2. Conduct internal and external audits (customers, re-certifications) and follow up on audit findings.
3. Serve as SPOC for processing and managing customer inquiries and communication with spout producers regarding quality topics.
4. Support in maintaining GFSI-recognized standards of spout manufacturers, including plant Neuhausen. Coach and support the Product Safety Management Officer at the Neuhausen plant.
* Collaborate with EHS representatives (e.g., ISO 14001:2015) to develop policies, procedures, and methods to improve the management system.
Qualifications & Experience
* Academic degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Chemistry.
* Certified Quality Lead Auditor (ISO and/or BRC).
* Profound experience in the food or food packaging industry, especially in:
o Food safety compliance (plastics, paper & cardboard, or paints in consumer goods).
o Analytical methods and quality systems.
o Implementation and supervision of prerequisite programs (GHP, GMP, GSP).
o Food contact packaging or food production.
o Risk analysis, assessment, and management (HACCP, VACCP, TACCP).
o Strong knowledge of international food safety standards and regulatory frameworks.
* Excellent command of English; capable of acting as a global partner and communicator.
* Basic knowledge of German with willingness to improve (position based in Switzerland).
