We are seeking an experienced Robotics and Thermal Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft engines.
About the Role
* Define standardized repair processes that meet quality and compliance standards, ensuring seamless collaboration with OEMs and customers.
* Interpret production drawings and OEM procedures systematically, leveraging your expertise to drive process improvement.
* Develop and certify alternative consumable materials and processes related to thermal spray, promoting innovation and efficiency.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives using safety, lean, quality, and engineering tools, resulting in enhanced safety, quality, delivery, and costs for our customers.
* Provide coaching and training to operations colleagues, sharing best practices and ensuring optimal programming and process principles.
* Support root cause analysis and coordinate subsequent engineering tasks for assigned fields, driving problem-solving and resolution.
* Collaborate closely with Operations, Repair Engineering, Tooling Engineering, and Shop Engineering to ensure seamless project execution.
Your Profile
* Proven experience operating and supporting thermal spray equipment, including plasma, HVOF, and arc-wire spray.
* Hands-on expertise creating programs on 6-axis robot equipment (ABB, Kuka, FANUC etc.).
* Aerospace MRO industry experience, with a strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes.
* Highly proactive, positive, and flexible individual with a strong execution mentality and ability to work autonomously and within teams.
* Excellent safety, quality, delivery, and cost awareness, with experience in project management, lean, and quality methodologies.
* 10+ years of experience in programming and thermal spray processes, with a deep understanding of technical specifications and regulations.
* Fluent in English (Level C1), German (Level B1) is an advantage.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in similar industries.
