Our client is a reputable financial institution committed to maintaining high compliance standards and ethical conduct. To support their Swiss operations, they are currently seeking a strategic and experienced Compliance Officer & Legal Counsel (50-60%) to take ownership of core regulatory and legal responsibilities.
Your tasks:
* Oversee and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance requirements
* Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of compliance measures and controls
* Identify and assess compliance risks and perform integrated control processes
* Communicate with regulatory authorities on compliance topics
* Conduct investigations into suspected breaches in collaboration with Legal & Internal Audit
* Carry out compliance audits during the development of new internal policies
* Manage whistleblowing and complaints processes
* Provide regular compliance and ethics risk reports
* Support the Legal function with legal assessments and documentation
Your profile:
* Several years of experience as a Compliance Officer in a financial institution in Switzerland
* University degree in Law; bar admission is a plus
* Strong sense of ethics, high integrity, and responsibility
* Strategic thinker with a hands-on, self-driven approach
* Excellent communication in German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
