Electrical Engineer – Handheld Medical Devices
Duration of the contract: Until 31st December 2026
Hours per week: 40 hours (4 days onsite, 1 day home office)
Essential: English & German required | 3 years+ medical device experience | Handheld & battery-powered product expertise
roles and responsibilities
You will provide technical leadership for in-market product maintenance and regulatory-compliant design updates.
This will involve:
Technical support for Life Cycle Management activities (product maintenance, design changes).
Support design changes (Change Requests), including technical assessment and documentation.
Conduct and support risk management and FMEAs .

You are a structured, solution-oriented engineer with a deep understanding of the rigorous standards required in a regulated environment.
You will also bring:
Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
3–8 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in medical devices
Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, Microcontrollers, and power management
Experience with medical device standards (e.g., IEC 60601, ISO 13485, CE, FDA)
Experience with battery-powered, handheld devices
Proven ability to work with external suppliers and test laboratories
This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for until 31st December 2026.
