The Market Manager Railway is responsible for growing the business in defined global markets by defining and adapting key strategies and monitoring progress. This role involves market research, competitive analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and improve market share.

Determine and systematically analyze the actual and future requirements of target customers, as well as the market potential of the product portfolio (current and future).
Understand the value proposition of competitors and their development trends.
Identify and develop new businesses and applications, including lead@customer in the early phase.
Partner with Sales to diversify within key customers.
Understand the business environment and requirements, including customer needs, competition, supply chain, technology, application of products, and market disruptions, along with their trends, to initiate development of new products, applications, and services.
Define requirements for new products and services in collaboration with Product Management.
Suggest adjustments to existing products or customer relationships.
Collect and analyze market information (Market Intelligence) and understand the competitive landscape.
Interpret current and future technologies used in the market and by target customers.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and communication of the segment's strategy.
Support Business Plan development.
Define the complete market offering for today and tomorrow (from H+S group or external) and create business cases.
Develop and support go-to-market strategies jointly with Sales.
Define positioning and value pricing of new solutions in collaboration with Technology & Sales.
Support segment MarCom activities, including budget, exhibition selection, and marketing materials, and align other product-related MarCom activities within the segment.
Enable Sales with regards to new applications and market understanding.
Assess risks and potentials for business opportunities.
Lead and support partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A activities.
Support early product and solution concepts in collaboration with the Solutions Engineering team.
Identify local success stories and prepare them for global multiplication.
Prepare new businesses for structured hand-over to Sales for multiplication.
Follow processes as per the Global Management System and contribute to process improvements.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably EE or ME.
Proven industry and product knowledge.
Good understanding of LF, RF, and FO technologies.
Global management skills with a customer focus.
Strong leadership, negotiation, networking, presentation, communication, and motivation skills.
Market-specific knowledge and understanding of future market requirements.
Skills:
Excellent presentation and professional appearance.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills, both oral and written.
Support the business according to the 5-year business plan.
Develop and support new business options to grow profitably.
Support the global communication strategy and business plan in collaboration with Sales.
Willingness to travel up to 40%, including international travel.
