Laboratory Scientist – Assay Development
As a first‑tier supplier to our renowned business partner, Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are immediately seeking a motivated and dedicated Laboratory Scientist for a temporary assignment of one year with the possibility of extension.
The Assay Development team is responsible for the development of molecular diagnostic and screening tests based on PCR technology in the areas of infectious diseases, genomics, and oncology, from early feasibility to commercial launch.
Tasks
Work with high‑throughput lab analyzers.
Perform routine lab work with infectious samples and lead your own experiments, including data analysis.
Plan and execute different work packages for the development of molecular diagnostics tests.
Participate in project meetings and present experimental data.
Document experiments precisely using electronic lab journals according to GMP standards.
Handle and maintain laboratory equipment.
Analyze statistical data using software tools (e.g., JMP).
Author official documents such as Design History Files.
Must Haves
Graduate as Biomedical Analyst Scientist (BMA HF) or apprenticeship as Lab Technician (Biology, Medical Diagnostics, Chemistry) or at least a Bachelor or Master degree in Life Sciences, with practical lab experience (no PhD graduates).
Ideally 2+ years of lab experience with data analysis and biostatistics.
Strong documentation skills.
Fluent English (written and oral); German is a plus.
Team player, open‑minded.
Pro‑active, organized work style.
Flexible, strategic thinking and self‑dependent.
Nice to Haves
Experience in a biotechnical environment handling infectious samples at Biosafety Level 2.
Experience in a GMP/GLP environment.
