Automation Engineer (m/w/d) - Your next role Reporting directly to the Automation Team Lead, based in Vernier, you will respond to project requests for the Vernier site. You will participate in projects and maintenance activities to improve production processes and serve as an automation domain expert.

Your responsibilities include: Establish functional specifications and technical documentation; implement automated systems observing specifications.
Participate in projects for new installations.
Estimate costs and durations for studies and work.
Coordinate with relevant services.
Propose automation solutions and manage external service providers.
Oversee external companies' work related to automation.
Support long-term maintenance issues.
Program control systems collaboratively.
Lead continuous improvement projects.
Standardize processes and create/update standards.
Monitor technology and lead working groups.
Apply quality procedures and standards.
Participate in training programs.
Resolve problems using standard or modified procedures.
Enhance process agility to improve customer service.
Candidate profile: Degree in Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
6-10 years of experience, preferably in a chemical environment.
Experience managing modernization projects of industrial infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with revamping projects in industrial settings is desirable.
Knowledge of PLC and DCS systems (DeltaV, Siemens Step 7 Pro, TIA Portal, WinCC, Citect SCADA).
Knowledge of SQL and VB.net.
Familiarity with Control & Safety Systems (SIS) and Batch software suites (DeltaV, Aveva, etc.) is a plus.
Fluent in French and English.
Proactive attitude towards change and continuous improvement.
