Your Role
Manager Warehousing & Distribution — you will lead and promote a strong Safety and Quality Culture across all logistics and warehousing operations, ensuring compliance with Safety, Quality, Health, Environmental, SRT and Airworthiness Authority requirements. You will oversee the full implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring all SMS responsibilities are met. You will provide strategic and operational leadership to guarantee safe, compliant, and efficient warehouse and material-handling processes across the ZRH logistics network. You will drive operational excellence through Lean principles, rigorous KPIs, data-driven performance management and continuous improvement initiatives. You will manage financial performance for the logistics area, including budgeting, cost control and delivery of cost-reduction and efficiency targets. You will build, lead, and develop the logistics and warehousing team through clear objectives, structured follow-up, capability development and effective resource planning. You will ensure effective planning and execution of Kitting (marshalling), Ready-to-Service processes and warehouse operations to meet turnaround time and service-quality targets. You will define, optimize and govern end-to-end material-transport processes, including cooperation with external logistics providers, ensuring regulatory compliance and meeting all contractual service levels.
Your Profile
* Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
* At least 7 years of senior experience in Logistics/Supply Chain, including a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role and several years in a production-oriented environment
* Proven experience in implementing e-commerce solutions, automation technologies and digitalization initiatives in a logistics or warehousing environment
* Strong background in Lean Management and Continuous Improvement in operational settings
* Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills suited for guiding complex logistics operations
* Solid understanding of aviation-specific regulations (e.g., EASA Part 145, MOE, NASP Cargo Manual) is a big advantage
* High language proficiency in German (C1) and English (C1)
