Company Description
Dennison Watch Company, founded in 1874, holds a distinguished legacy in the field of horology. The brand was recently relaunched in Geneva in 2024, we are looking to expand our production team with a Development & Production Manager.
The Role
The Development & Production Manager will own the full product lifecycle: supplier coordination, sampling, technical development, production planning, and quality control.
In this role you will be the key bridge between design, suppliers, and internal teams to bring new collections to life efficiently and reliably.
This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants to help build operational excellence from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development
* Manage development of new watch models from concept through production
* Coordinate with the designer and technical partners to finalize specifications (case, dial, movement, strap, packaging)
* Oversee prototyping and sampling phases, including feedback cycles and revisions
* Ensure technical drawings, BOMs, and product documentation are accurate and complete
Supplier & Factory Management
* Source and manage relationships with component suppliers and manufacturers
* Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and lead times
* Monitor supplier performance and resolve production issues
* Visit factories when required (and if/when applicable)
Production Planning & Execution
* Build and maintain production timelines
* Issue purchase orders and manage order tracking
* Ensure production runs are completed on schedule
* Coordinate logistics and shipping with operations partners
Quality Control
* Establish and maintain quality standards
* Review pre-production samples and final production units
* Implement quality checks and corrective action processes
* Manage warranty and defect analysis feedback loops
Cost & Inventory Management
* Track COGS and identify cost optimization opportunities
* Support margin planning with management team
* Monitor inventory levels and support demand forecasting
Requirements
* 3–7+ years experience in product development and/or production (watches, accessories, fashion, or consumer goods preferred)
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (experience with Asian suppliers is a plus)
* Ability to read and manage technical specifications and BOMs
* Excellent project management skills
* Strong negotiation and communication abilities
* Highly organized with attention to detail
* Comfortable working in a startup environment with evolving processes
Nice to Have
* Experience specifically in watch manufacturing (stone dials, quartz movements, water resistance standards, QC testing, etc.)
* Experience scaling production for a growing DTC brand
* Familiarity with ERP or production planning systems
* Ability to speak Mandarin or another relevant supplier language
