Helicopter Airworthiness Certification Specialist Job
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who wants to contribute to the development of a next-generation single-engine helicopter.
The airworthiness team plays a critical part in ensuring that our rotorcraft meets the highest safety and performance standards. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the type certification process, airworthiness certificates, design changes, and continued airworthiness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Type Certification Management: You will manage and track certification plans for initial type design and post-certification activities, including documentation shared with authorities.
2. Flight Safety Statements: Manage and track flight safety statements for experimental activities.
3. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate closely with chief engineers, CVE, certification coordinator, and program management to ensure coordinated delivery on time and within quality standards.
4. Certification Documentation: Verify the consistency and integration of certification documentation and activities, such as certification programs, plans (DCPs, CCLs), compliance documents, CRI & CAI, following the DOH.
5. Airworthiness Matters: Consult the DO on airworthiness matters and maintain certification aspects within the DAS.
6. Change Classifications: Prepare assessments for change classifications (minor/major changes).
7. Change Implementation: Ensure change requirements are implemented and substantiation documentation is revised accordingly.
8. Airworthiness Certification: Harmonize airworthiness certification documentation.
9. Authority Requirements: Monitor evolving authority requirements and standards worldwide.
10. Service Bulletins: Assist in developing mandatory Service Bulletins (SB) in case of unsafe conditions.
11. Airworthiness Impairments: Address failure evaluations and complaints from product operators, reporting airworthiness impairments to authorities.
12. AD Enforcement: Support authorities in enforcing ADs and regularly review their applicability to our operations.
13. Manual Revisions: Monitor revisions of manuals approved by authorities, including Aircraft Flight Manual, MMEL, and Airworthiness Limitations.
Requirements:
* Engineering degree or proven equivalent experience.
* At least 5 years of relevant experience in the aviation industry, with knowledge of DOH/DAS/QMS.
* Flexible, self-driven, with a customer-focused attitude.
* Strong analytical and organizational skills.
* Proficient in English (minimum B2 level, spoken and written).
