As a PostDoc, located in Basel (Switzerland), you will lead and execute design, process development, and characterization of a new generation of Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) formulations in close collaboration with experts within the Technical Development and Biomedical Research groups in Switzerland and the USA.
As a PostDoc, located in Basel (Switzerland), you will lead and execute design, process development, and characterization of a new generation of Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) formulations in close collaboration with experts within the Technical Development and Biomedical Research groups in Switzerland and the USA.
Preferred start date: Latest start date: August 1st, 2025
Conception, design, execution and reporting of an independent research program for the development of a novel LNP platform for RNA delivery
Data analysis and correlation of nanoparticle characteristics to biological endpoints in vitro and in vivo to enable data driven optimization of lipid nanoparticles with superior biological properties
Close collaboration with key stakeholders and interfaces within the organization and externally on the project
Education: PhD in life sciences (e.g. chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, Bio- or chemical engineering or similar fields, completion of PhD no longer than 3 years ago)
Languages: Proficiency in English
Experience/Professional requirements:
Deep theoretical knowledge and practical experience in lipid nanoparticle formulation and process development in the context of RNA delivery, including physicochemical and bio-functional characterization.
Organizational and scientific skills including curiosity and planning and execution of lab work
