Position: The main purpose of the role is to develop our EU sourcing strategies for Flexible packaging, and integrating within the broader Global packaging Strategy.
Responsibilities
Preferred role specific skills
* Packaging Procurement expert, with key skills across multiple flexible packaging categories: Procurement experience in multi national / multi locational organization preferably in packaging or commodities
* Strong supplier negotiation skills, with specific abilities to identify risks and opportunities presented by potential contracts, and to ensure favourable and flexible conditions for PepsiCo
* Strong technical knowledge of snacks packaging, especially BOPP and related laminates
* Ability to work with R&D to identify alternatives, evaluate their cost and performance and align recommendations with the business
* Ability to implement projects on time, meeting brand launch and other business deadlines
Qualifications
* Is expected to have a good understanding of the technical attributes required for our specifications – working with R&D & Ops at a plant level.
* Must be able to identify and implement only necessary changes to reach our goals with minimal disruption to our operations and supply chain, without adding complexity and at minimal on-cost
* Must be able to handle complexity to provide rational insights, thought leadership, concise communications, and well-thought recommendations.
* Must be a proactive, decision maker that focuses on driving results through a proactive approach
