Job Description
We are searching for a Director, Global Strategic Program (GSP). The role will be located (onsite/hybrid) at an IMSC hub location including Titusville, New Jersey; Horsham, Pennsylvania; Zug, Switzerland; Schaffhausen, Switzerland; Cork, Ireland; Latina, Italy; Leiden, Netherlands; or Beerse, Belgium.
The Director, GSP is responsible for leading delivery of Strategic Supply Chain Programs and related outcomes through effective and efficient Program Leadership. The role drives business outcomes through disciplined execution, strong partner engagement, and effective governance. The GSP leads cross‑functional teams to deliver program commitments, manage financial performance, resources, and translate strategy into actionable plans. Success in the role requires influencing across all levels, building alignment, and developing high‑performing teams to achieve sustainable results. The role is jointly responsible to mature the Global Strategic Program Capability, maintaining business ownership and documentation.
Responsibilities
Value Creation
* Design and deploy execution and value tracking for assigned programs.
* Seamlessly integrate programs into sustainable operations as required.
Stakeholder Management
* Proactively lead problem definition and solution development, including options and trade‑off analysis to drive effective decision‑making.
* Provide transparent program communications driving timely decisions to enable achievement of program milestones and outcomes. Manage escalations as needed.
* Provide effective feedback to IMSC leadership to drive accountability and remove barriers to outcomes.
* Build strong interdependent partnerships and manage communication effectively with IMSC and partners/stakeholders.
Shaping Delivery
* Guide cross‑IMSC teams to clearly and effectively scope programs. Lead interdependency management across enabling projects to ensure timeline and outcome delivery.
* Define implementation plans and milestones to operationalize strategy.
* Lead continuous assessment of risks and dependencies to de‑risk plans and enable commitments.
Team & Governance
* Define program structure needs across IMSC and J&J; secure sponsorship, resources, and funding to establish effective governance and ongoing oversight of programs.
* Deliver spend and resource monitoring and management.
* Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development to the program team.
Leadership
* Articulate a clear vision and status to develop a roadmap to achieve success; execute through a global cross‑functional team.
* Provide visibility, align IMSC and team on common goals and ways of working, drive actions, mitigate risks, and develop effective and trusted partnerships with leaders.
* Lead through ambiguity and complexity and manage ongoing issues effectively.
Qualifications
Education
* Required: A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); preferably in engineering, business, or supply chain.
Required
* 10 years of experience in supply chain and/or program management with broad business insights and strong supply chain knowledge.
* Prior people leadership experience and strong talent development skills, mobilization and management of global teams within a complex and ambiguous environment.
* Demonstrated strategy shaping and program definition across critical end‑to‑end supply chain and business variables to optimize opportunities.
* Experience operationalizing strategy across the business, articulating a case for change and leading the team and organization through change‑management required for sustained benefits.
Preferred
* Consistent record of influencing at all levels of leadership.
* Strong communication; demonstrated negotiation skills, influence, and decision‑making capability.
* Prior program management experience.
Other
* This position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
