Importantly, our success is intrinsically linked to our responsibility as a certified B-Corp, ensuring we always look after our people and the planet. /ph3Role: /h3pAs our Product Manager, you will lead the management and development of Viatu’s supplier portfolio across accommodations, activities, car rentals, and airlines. You will ensure our product offering remains competitive, consistent, and aligned with Viatu’s standards as the company grows. This includes maintaining and expanding key supplier relationships, overseeing content accuracy across our platform, and conducting regular trainings and familiarisation trips for our teams. You’ll work closely with sales, marketing, customer experience, and tech to strengthen how Viatu presents and operates its travel products, ensuring a seamless link between our partners, systems, and the traveller experience. /ppstrongKey Duties Responsibilities: /strong /ppResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to: /pulliSupplier Onboarding and Management: Spearhead supplier onboarding (hotels, activities, rentals, airlines) and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms. Build strong supplier relationships for long-term collaboration. /liliSupplier Expansion Sales Team Collaboration: Grow our product portfolio aligned with Viatu's strategy. Source new suppliers and strengthen existing partnerships at travel conferences. Craft compelling trip offerings for our website and equip the sales team to champion our suppliers and drive sales. /liliTeam Training and Knowledge Sharing: Equip the Viatu team with in-depth supplier knowledge through targeted training (workshops, trips, eLearning) and collaborate with suppliers to expand the training academy. /liliContent management, curation and optimisation: Actively manage and optimise the supplier and destination content across our various digital outlets including the website, our quoting tool, traveller guides and training materials. /liliLeadership collaboration: Contribute to cross-functional strategy development across marketing, product, customer experience, tech, and sales. /li /ulh3About You: /h3ulliHighly organised and detail-oriented, with a structured approach and strong ownership of your work from planning to execution. /liliStrong critical thinking skills, with the confidence to question processes and contribute to continuous improvement. /liliSkilled at building strong, lasting relationships with partners and colleagues by combining empathy, clear communication, and a collaborative mindset. /liliExperience working with CRMs or project management tools. /lili2+ years of experience in the travel industry, ideally within marketing, product management, or operations. /liliBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, tourism, or a related field. /liliGenuine passion for travel, particularly African destinations, wildlife, and culture, and a willingness to travel for supplier visits and team meetups. /li /ulpA Plus: /pulliPrevious experience in a fast-paced startup /liliAdditional languages are a big plus /liliDeep product and destination knowledge of African destinations /liliExtensive travel experience in Africa /liliWorking knowledge of the Google Suite and Wetu /liliSales experience /liliOur ideal candidate is based in Cape Town, South Africa. /li /ulh3The Good Stuff: /h3ulliWorking in an international and dynamic environment that nurtures your personal and professional growth. /liliWork with a passionate and supportive team.
