Our client is a global biotechnology company with a strong presence across Asia, Europe, and the United States. With modern offices in the Basel area, they are currently seeking a Global Program Manager (m/f/d) to join on a 12-month temporary assignment with an immediate start.
Depending on the candidate's motivation and performance, there may be an opportunity for extension.
Job Description
The selected candidate will lead the implementation of Go-to-Market initiatives and a key operating model transformation in New Markets, including the design and execution of target operating models, cross-functional planning, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and oversight of the full contract lifecycle for commercial services, by carrying out the following task area:
Drives the project management processes, including project planning, progress control, status reporting, risk and dependency management, and change managementIdentifies gaps, potential bottlenecks, delays, and risks; challenges assumptions and proposes options to close gaps and bring projects back on scheduleGuides and manages the preparation for project achievement reviewsFacilitates the appropriate and relevant flow of information among stakeholdersFacilitates and documents key project meetings and decisionsEnsures that all project documentation is complete.Supports the Head of New Market Commercial and the Head of Go‑to‑Market Strategy & Commercial Operations in strategic and operational initiatives, serving as the lead for those initiatives where appropriate
The Successful Applicant
For this challenging and rewarding position, the ideal candidate must have:
Successfully completed bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing or a related fieldMaster level preferred in an economic direction and within the healthcare sector is a plusProject management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantageOver 10 years of experience in cross-functional project management across multiple countries and cultures, with advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practicesProven track record in leading complex transformation projects from both process and organizational perspectives. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (data analysis, creating dashboards)Proficiency in Project Management Tools, e.g. MS Project, SmartsheetSolid English skills (verbally and written)German or Spanish would be an advantageAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage inventory levels, orders, and product introductionsStrategic thinking with the ability to drive commercial activities and identify new business opportunities
