We are looking for a Non-Metallic Test Engineer who will be responsible for planning and executing composite material tests, analyzing results, and providing detailed technical reports to support design substantiation, material qualification, and production needs.
Responsibilities
Conduct destructive composite coupon testing and subsequent report writing to obtain design data required for substantiation purposes
Conduct all testing requested by LHD in support of off-load material qualification campaigns (including writing of test plans and test reports)
Conduct re-life and other ad-hoc test requests in support of production requests (including writing of test plans and test reports)
To support operational tasks activities (e.g. calibration events, writing of technical guides and safety procedures etc.)
Provide Non-metallic engineering support to Stress and Design teams.
Qualifications
5+ years of “hands-on” experience of testing material coupons within a lab environment
Preferably an aerospace or materials related degree
Good knowledge of static and fatigue test procedures for composites, adhesives, sealants and paints
Knowledge of ASTM and ISO test methods
Knowledge of manufacturing process involving composite, adhesive and paint materials
Excellent data analysis and report writing skills
SOFT Skills
Excellent spoken and written English
German / Italian would also be advantageous
