Senior Frontend Software Engineer
As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern frontend solutions for complex molecular diagnostics systems. You will work in a cross‑functional agile team and act as a technical driver for frontend architecture and software quality. In close collaboration with Product Owners, System Architects, and Engineers, you translate complex requirements into robust, scalable and maintainable software solutions.
You will also coordinate technical contributions from external development teams, ensuring seamless integration into the core system. In this role, you actively contribute to the Diagnostics 10‑year ambition by enabling reliable and intuitive user interfaces for laboratory environments.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and developing high‑quality frontend software solutions for molecular diagnostics systems
Working in agile, cross‑functional teams and translating complex business and system requirements into technical implementations
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and system quality attributes such as scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability
Leading code reviews, testing practices, and continuous integration to ensure high engineering standards
Coordinating and reviewing deliverables from external development teams in an extended workforce setup
Providing clear technical guidance and ensuring consistent integration into the overall system architecture
Acting as a mentor and role model within the team and fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment
Supporting continuous improvement of development practices and engineering excellence
Your profile:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Software Development or a related engineering field
5+ years of professional experience in frontend development
Strong expertise in React and modern frontend architecture
Experience with Electron or Tauri is a plus
Experience with embedded UI development (e.g. Rust, C++) is beneficial
Experience working in regulated environments is an advantage
Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (CI/CD, testing, code quality)
Proven ability to work effectively in cross‑functional and distributed team setups
Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide, review, and align external development teams
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured and creative approach
Leadership mindset with the ability to foster psychological safety and team ownership
High motivation to contribute to meaningful healthcare and diagnostic solutions
