Software Engineer ll, Account Threats Detection, Core
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 1 year of experience implementing core machine learning concepts.
Preferred qualifications:
* Master's degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating strong software engineering fundamentals in languages like Python, C++, Java, or Kotlin.
* 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
* 1 year of experience with large-scale distributed systems, ideally in the context of machine learning infrastructure or applications.
* 1 year of experience developing and deploying machine learning models, especially deep learning or natural language processing techniques.
* Experience in the adversarial space, fraud detection, or other anti-abuse domains.
* Familiarity with TensorFlow or similar frameworks.
Responsibilities
* Build, optimize, and operate the ML ecosystem that powers UMAMI's transformer-based account activity models.
* Implement robust ML pipelines and agentic setup for seamless experimentation, feature engineering, training, validation, and deployment, accelerating the time-to-production for new threat detection models.
* Implement model metrics and benchmarks aiding in explainability of model behavior and analyze model drift and identify opportunities for refinement, ensuring sustained models’ accuracy and effectiveness.
* Collaborate closely with our partners, incl. Trust and Safety, to ensure a seamless adoption of UMAMI in our daily threat fighting operations.
